What we do

Cars, 4WDs and the odd bus. Fixed properly.

Out here a vehicle off the road is a real problem, so the job has to be done right the first time. That’s the whole approach: find the real fault, use the right parts, and tell you straight.

General repairs & maintenance

The everyday work that keeps a vehicle on the road out here. Bring it in to Redding Road and we’ll sort it.

Servicing, cars and bigger rigs

From the family car to a Toyota Coaster bus. Customers have had both serviced with us in the same visit.

Diagnosing the tricky ones

When a fault has hung around after work elsewhere, we track down what’s actually going on before anything gets replaced.

We order the right genuine parts for the job, so the fix holds up on long country kilometres.

Built for red dirt and long runs.

Out here a 4WD isn’t a weekend toy, it’s how you get to work. When one’s playing up, we get it looked at quickly and back out on the track.

Our story

A family business, handed down.

Hein’s started as a family workshop, and it still is one. At the start of December 2017, Aaron took over the business from the family and has run the workshop on Redding Road ever since.

Customers still describe it the same way: patient, honest and fair. The kind of mechanic you’re glad to find when you’re a long way from home.

“We recently had both our car and Toyota Coaster bus serviced with Hein's Auto Repairs in Streaky Bay and were extremely happy with the work that they did. We'd had some really poor mechanical work done in NSW and had ongoing troubles with the bus ever since. Hein's were able to diagnose the issue straight away, order genuine parts and fix the issue without any hassles. The bus has never run better!
